Did you know? The quince is a close relative to the apple and pear. Quinces were grown 6000 years ago in the Aram-Naharaim region.  The quince originated from countries in the Mediterranean basin, and in Greece it is called the Sidon Apple, after the Lebanese city.  The quince’s flowers are fragrant and beautiful, and have been used in the past to decorate bridal rooms and marriage ceremonies.
