Did you know? The Açaí   is a purple fruit which is similar in shape to a grape. Before becoming ripe, the fruit is green, but slowly takes on its purple color as it ripens.  It grows in clusters on Açaí palm trees in the Amazon rain forests.  Açaí palm trees have several trunks growing from one base, and they can reach 25 meters in height.
